Giva was a co-lab project with NGOs Community Chest and the City of Cape Town’s Safety lab. It was one of the first crowd-sourcing charity platforms in South Africa, aimed at reducing crime on the streets and giving those who really want to help themselves a fighting chance.
I wasinvloed in developing the concept, the UX, design, and mechanics of how the whole platform worked.
Giva won the coveted Loeries Ubuntu Award for recognising brands that are making a positive difference in South Africa.
Our platform also won Service Design Bronze and Website Silver Loeries as well as third place in Creative Circle’s Ad of the Month Digital & Interactive category.
